They were instrumental in the design and construction
of over 440 kilowatts of solar PV power for large scale demonstration
projects in New York. NYSA constructed a 332 kilowatt solar
PV system at the Gun Hill Bus Depot, Bronx, New York, for MTA/New
York City Transit, and a 111 kilowatt solar PV system for the Yonkers
Wastewater Treatment Facility during 1997. These two projects have
been extensively monitored for performance and serve as the groundwork
for the PV power expansion we are experiencing in New York's commercial
and residential markets today.
NYSA personnel are 25 year veterans of the
solar power and energy conservation technology industries. They
have helped forge the way towards energy independence in the USA.
Major support of NYSA's efforts over the past quarter decade, are
now being underpinned by the readily available solar rebate funds
from LIPA, NJCEP and FPL.
Generous solar rebates for solar PV electric power and renewable
energy technology are presently being offered to all businesses,
municipalities, institutions, apartment buildings, schools, non-profits
and homeowners.
